about us

hi, i’m brooke and i love cheese!!

(it’s inappropriate how many times this comes up in my day to day conversations!)

the cracker collective doesn’t have an epic or granduous story of how we came to feed the masses along the surfcoast and beyond!  i just have always had a love of grazing platters and hosting parties. in fact, it was at a dinner party I hosted in 2016 that i decided to make everything from scratch….including some lavosh crackers!  from that party to every other event, i was constantly told “you need to do this for a job!!” or “where can i get these crackers?”.  well, the answer, as you all now know is right here….and the cracker collective was born.

you could say cheese is in my dna.  my grandparents owned and ran the local torquay nairn’s dairy for decades on the corner of boston & pearl street, and as a born and raised local torquay girl i wanted to continue to serve the people of torquay only the best dairy products just like my nana and pa (and my uncles and dad—yes, dad was the local milkman growing up!!).

i have an intense passion for making food look stunning but never creating just physically appealing plates, it’s got to taste sensational also!!  you will never find anything out of place on one of our platters, even our beautiful flowers that adorn our grazing treats are edible!!

i am a mother of 2 young children and married to the love of my life who has been by my side as we have travelled the world and sampled the best food there is.  i love cheese (i believe i mentioned that!!) nachos, ceviche, tequila, margarita’s, sashimi, sushi…….. i could go on…..!

thanks so much for your support and I am so thrilled i get to continue the nairn legacy in torquay!!

say CHEEEEEESE………

“we can’t thank you enough for making the most amazing grazing table. it completely elevated our wedding!”
